DESIGN PEACE

Notes

I couldn’t resist.   It was Valentine’s Day.
Every so often purchase what grabs your attention and declares PICK ME! Especially if it’s under $10 and works in the garden or on the porch of my new craftsman guesthouse. Living in a heritage home has reminded me how isolated contemporary spaces can feel.  Why so serious?
When my original vintage aesthetic was replaced with “cleaner lines”, in an attempt to fight the war on stuff, I forgot how these little blessings can up your mood by whispering “I like you, too”.
My mother was a ceramic teacher and porcelain doll crafts-woman. She taught me to see the beauty in what others dismiss.   To paint the little picture.  She is who taught me to stage vignettes and tell stories with min-sets.    She loved her knic-knacks and I love mine.
Baaaaaaa! Baaaaaaa!
